Diapering And Toileting

Babysitting is not about technicalities but is a responsibility. A babysitter's job is all about taking care of a baby, making sure that it is happy and most importantly safe. Very small kids are incapable of taking care of themselves therefore they need someone around who could take care of their needs.

Diapering and Toileting While dealing with babies, we will need to change their diapers at regular intervals. If it is not done so the baby feels uneasy. Such an unhygienic condition can lead to diseases and rashes on skin. This can be avoided by maintaining basic cleanliness around babies. These few basic tips to be followed while diapering and toileting are as follows:

* All items of necessity must be available in the vicinity like fresh diapers, wipes and rash ointment if required.

* While changing the diapers the baby must be kept on a flat surface.

* Remove the used diapers.

* The baby must be lifted from the lower portion of their body by carefully holding them with their ankles and the area must be carefully cleaned from both front and back.

* Then with the help of a wet wipe, the area must be wiped again making sure that all the creases and folds of the skin have been properly cleaned.

* Apply some cream for moisturizing and avoiding rashes on the skin.

* The fresh diaper should now be placed covering their hips and should be fastened carefully after pulling it from between their legs. Then it is fastened using a pin or the self attached fastener.

* The used diaper must be disposed off. The babies get uneasy and in most of the cases start crying when they feel the diaper wet. This gives us an indication that the diapers must be changed now.

Conclusion

Cleanliness is very important to avoid basic diseases which arise from the unhygienic condition. Therefore it is important to change and replace the diapers at regular intervals. If the diapers are not changed at regular intervals, the baby feels uneasy, gets annoyed and starts crying.
