Bathing Babies

Dealing with small kids is a job that requires a lot of patience, love and compassion. One even needs to understand child's psychology as small kids are not able to speak everything out. It is important to understand the basic needs of a child so that a child is happy and safe. One should make an attempt to provide a healthy environment to a child in its growing stages. The kids are very nave and get easily influenced by the surroundings.

Bathing babies

Bathing is a part of daily life routine. Babies are tender and can be easily hurt. One needs to be extra cautious while dealing with a baby. There are few tips which can help in bathing babies:

* The baby must be kept at a safe place so that it does not fiddle with things around.

* Get a baby bathing tub. Fill the tub with lukewarm water. Check the temperature of the water using your elbow.

* The bathing tub must be filled to a level of four to five inches only.

* Babies must be distracted while they are being prepared for a bath. Most of the babies do not like being dipped in water.

* While the baby is in the tub and it some months old, its head and shoulders must be supported so that they can sit in the tub.

* One should never pull the hand off the baby while it is still inside the water.

* The soap and shampoos used must be mild. Care must be taken so that the soap solution does not enter their eyes.

* The soap is then carefully rinsed off the baby's body.

* It is then carefully wrapped in a soft towel to avoid exposure to cold.

* The water is then wiped off the body and lotion or powder is applied.

* They are then dressed and diapered.

Conclusion

Sometimes the baby can also be given a sponge bath when it is suffering from bowel movement. Bathing a baby is not a tough task. One just needs to be cautious while they are in the bathing tub as their body needs to be supported so that they can sit.
